An ecological assessment conducted in the area assessed the biodiversity and the natural values of the land. The property contains stands of tall open forest. The vegetation is mapped as core koala habitat, carrying high and medium value bushland providing habitat linkages across the landscape. These links demonstrate a good level of habitat connectivity and provide wildlife corridors at a local scale. The area may support a number of species listed as protected including 11 migratory species and 32 threatened species, including koala, Black-breasted Button-quail, Grey-headed Flying-fox, Red Goshawk, Rufous Fantail, and the Swift Parrot. Contact our office for more details of this Assessment and Report undertaken in 2015.
The property is on the headwaters of the South Caboolture River, the streams of the south river run through the land. The photos show the creeks and waterfalls after a deluge of rain in 2009 .
Close by is the award-winning Ocean View Winery and Birches Restaurant just around the corner. Only 15 mins to the historic village of Dayboro, with an abundance of cafes, local markets and lots of local allied health facilities. School bus access to primary schools and connecting buses to high schools are available throughout Ocean View.
