This 69 acre (27.88 Hectare) property is one of the main wildlife corridors between Lake Barrine and Lake Eacham National Parks, making it unique and special.
Mostly a registered nature refuge to support the corridor, there is 3.6ha (9 acres) of cleared land being the domestic zone to build your eco home, some sites with lovely Tableland views. This is the area where you keep animals, graze on the open pasture, establish your orchard and vegetable gardens and other buildings – everything you need and want in your home sector.
The nature refuge area can be grazed and all the native vegetation including native regrowth (mainly wattle) within the nature refuge is protected.
Enjoy 650m of Maroobi Creek frontage and one km of feeder streams and gullies.
The key features are:
11 ha of rainforest
two ha of mapped remnant RE 7.8.2
nine ha of regrowth rainforest
about 13 hectares available for revegetation to complete the corridor if you would like to further enhance this property and the bioregion
Of course there are many opportunities with this Lake Barrine to Lake Eacham Rainforest Corridor Nature Refuge to establish walking tracks and viewing platforms/shelters in consultation with the Nature Refuge Program and eco tourism operators.
Enjoy all the benefits of life on the Tableland and meeting your conservation values in protecting this land and advocating on behalf of all the species and habitat.
